ON FRI 30TH SEP 2005AT MAIDENHEAD GOLF CLUB
Following the success of previous social events at the Club, we would like to invite parents to join the managers to start off the new 2005-06 season in style.
Starts 7.30pm for 8.00pm sit down at Maidenhead Golf Club, Shoppenhangers Road. Price of £30 per head includes a drink upon arrival, 3 course meal with band and disco so you can party through til 12.30am.
Please book tickets through your Team Manager, or direct with Social Secretary Kim Barao on 01628 540514, supplying a deposit of £10 and a post dated cheque for the balance. Tickets will be issued on a first come, first served basis. There will be a choice of menu at time of booking and, if they wish, teams can book an entire table for their own party. GOOD LUCK TO ALL TEAMS FOR 2005-06 Good luck to all the many teams representing our Club over the coming season. We hope you all enjoy your football.
PARENTS PLEASE REMEMBER - DON’T: Attempt to ‘coach’ or ‘manipulate’ the players while they are playing. Shout, argue, swear, become violent or use sarcasm. Ignore children who need help. Attempt to ‘referee’ the game by appealing for free kicks, etc. Assess players by their incompetences. Abuse or argue with the referees.
PARENTS PLEASE REMEMBER - DO: Praise effort and performance more than results. Look for aspects to praise in players who might not otherwise get attention. Give them clear examples of excellent behaviour. Assess players with regard to their skills and attitudes. Praise good behaviour quickly to show that adults value it. Above all, help, encourage and support. |
