Club Awareness Day – Sunday 23^rd April

Thank you to all those from the younger teams who participated in our Club Awareness Day at Maidenhead United’s ground in York Road. Thank you also to all the Managers and Coaches who helped out.

Club AGM – Tuesday 13^th June

The Annual General Meeting will take place on Tuesday 13^th June. Please check the website or ask your Team Manager for details of timing and venue.

This event is your opportunity to have your say on how the Club is run and give your input on what the club registration fees should be for the 2006-07 season.

Spring Ball on 20/5 at Maidenhead Golf Club

Due to the huge success of the September event, we already have over 100 people coming to the Spring Ball. If you are attending, we look forward to seeing you there. We will also be running a raffle which you can support even if you are unable to attend.

Youth Team – Allied Counties Cup Final

The Youth team played their Cup Final last Wednesday 3^rd May in Thatcham against Barton Rovers (of Bedford not Reading) but lost 2-0.

Club Treasurer Required

Our Club Treasurer, Chris Lamb, is standing down at this year’s AGM after several years on the Committee. We are therefore looking for a new recruit to take on this role. We have recently successfully recruited to the role of Club Secretary from a parent and are looking for another excellent candidate. No previous accounting experience is necessary and I am sure Chris will be happy to provide advice to the successful applicant should it be needed.

Please join us in thanking Chris for all his hard work over the years on behalf of the Club and its players.

Our Club Tournament Weekend at Braywick

We will be holding our Annual 6aside Tournament on the weekend of Saturday 1^st and Sunday 2^nd July. The Club relies on the profits from this successful event to subsidise the costs of running the club through the year. Of course the Committee and Managers cannot run the tournament weekend without a large band of volunteers from across all the teams at the club. So please help us out by volunteering an hour of your time.

It is just £12 a year for 1 number in our Offside Club Lucky Draw. Every month 2 numbers are picked at random and the winners receive a cash prize. To join just complete this form and return it to your team manager along with your cheque. Please make cheques payable to MB&GFC.
