U9/8 Girls – News Congratulations to Maidenhead Girls U9/U8 team who won their Cup Final game 3-0 against South Reading Vixens at the SCML Cup Final Day at Aldermaston on Sunday, 29th April. They played SRV 4 times in the League as well with 2 wins each but this was the best result, and makes up for the fact that SRV won the League title despite Maidenhead leading the table all season long until SRV made up their game in hand. Girls TeamsAll 5 girls teams this season finished top half of the table, with 1 team 4th , 1 team 3rd and the other 3 teams 2nd. All 3 teams who finished 2nd had beaten the top team at some point in the season. Next season we are hoping to run 6 or 7 girls teams and are particularly looking for more players for a new team at next season’s U9/U8 age group. This will provide competitive football for girls from next season’s U8s through to next season’s U17s. Please contact Sarah Shea on the numbers below if you know any girls interested in playing. |
