Maidenhead Girls filming for FIFA shown during Women’s World Cup on EurosportThe girls were very fortunate to have been asked to do some filming in August for FIFA at Altwood and clips of a few seconds were used in the FIFA “Football for Equality” filler at half time during all the World Cup matches shown live on Eurosport from 10th to 30th September.
Former Player Sarah Lipscombe now playing in Women’s Southern Premier LeagueSarah, now 22, is a Level 2 Football coach amongst her many qualifications and played for Maidenhead Girls before going on to Fulham, Reading and recently back to Fulham who play home matches at Burnham FC. She scored 2 of the 14 goals Fulham scored on Sunday past her old club Reading and a hat-trick in their 8-0 win over West Ham. Fulham Women, who were relegated last season from the highest division in the country, are now hot favourites to return at the first attempt, sitting 2nd from top after 7 games with +30 goal difference. She teaches on a course locally which is attended by one of our U17 Girls. Sarah has offered to come and visit our girls teams at training. She runs football parties so let me know if this is of interest.
