This event raised £500 to Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance, £60 to Geoff Thomas Trust.  The team who won 14 - 0 under the very capable management of Sharon Astle!  All injuries received by players on the night are healing nicely!  Well done to Des Simmonds & Steve Carpenter for organising such an enjoyable and entertaining event. Thanks also to referee Kevin Shea ably supported by qualified referees Holly King from U17 Girls and Alex Radley from U16 Girls, and all the other volunteers and supporters.

CLUB AGM ON TUE 10TH JUNE AT STRIPES BAR 8PM & APPEAL FOR A TREASURER

We are looking for a new Treasurer for 2008/9. If you have a financial background or are just good with numbers and are willing to help MB&G FC and its players then please contact Mike Smith or Kim Barao.

APPEAL FOR VOLUNTEERS TO HELP DEVELOP 2008/09 U7 TEAMS

MB&G FC are also looking for coaches, parents or guardians to help develop the new U7 teams in the 2008/9 season. We have a minimum of 2 x U7 teams planned for 2008/9 and would like to offer more places at both U7 and U8 but we need either help in getting the teams started or adults willing to manage/coach the teams in the HICKS league, one night a week and on Saturday morning for the coming season. Once the teams are formed then parents/guardians usually step forward to help run the teams.

ENSURE YOUR TEAM IS IN OUR OWN CLUB TOURNAMENT – 5th & 6th July weekend

All MB&G FC teams MUST register for the MB&G FC tournament in July and pay the entry fee. The entry fee will be returned, on request, if at least 5 hours of volunteer help is given by the team’s parents/guardians/friends and players during the tournament weekend.  SO PLEASE VOLUNTEER!
