U10 Blues Runners up – in Division 2 – and only on goal difference U10 Blacks 3rd in the league – Not bad in their first season U11 Wolves picked up their medals at the Slough League Presentation at the end of May as the Wolves finished Runners Up in Division 1 of the 9 a-side league. The Wolves also won the Boyne Hill Tournament. U11 Lions Slough Mini Soccer Fair Play Award. U14 Boys Great achievement to reach last four of Berks & Bucks.
Since the last newsletter U11 Sharks have done the following in tournaments: Tournament Winners at Penn & Tylers Green as well as Marlow Youth, and Tournament Runners Up at Woodley Hammers U11 Cobras (made up of Sharks & Stingrays) were Consolation Cup Winners at Woodley Hammers and Consolation Plate Winners at Reading Town FC.
Sharks & Stingrays went on tour over the bank holiday weekend. Both teams stayed at Butlins and played in a tournament against teams from around the country. Stingrays battled hard against some really tough opposition and did the Club proud with their sporting attitude but didn't make it to the Finals. Sharks also played some tough opposition and proved why they have done so well this season by upping their game when needed. They reached the U11 Final where they played Regis 2000 who boasted several Academy players. Despite beating them in the group stages Sharks couldn't break them down and came away runners up. At a huge presentation that featured loud rock music and fireworks, Ex professional Mark Bright presented Stingrays with Participants Trophies and Sharks received Runners Up Trophies.
Connor Moore was spotted by a Chelsea Scout and has been invited for trials in August, the Club would like to wish him Good Luck.
